What Kind of Dental Practice Is Brampton Smiles?
Brampton Smiles is a general and cosmetic dental office, not a specialty clinic. That means most of what families need (check-ups, cleanings, fillings, root canals, implants, cosmetic dentistry, dentures, and clear aligners) is delivered in-house. For specialty cases that fall outside our scope, Dr. Abbas refers to vetted Peel Region specialists, including paediatric dentists, periodontists, oral surgeons, and orthodontists.
The practice was built around the same complaint we kept hearing from patients of other clinics: nobody slowed down to explain anything. Every visit at Brampton Smiles starts with the X-ray on the screen, a clear diagnosis, and a written plan, even if the plan is “watch and wait.” We do not bundle treatment recommendations with hygiene cleanings or push procedures patients are not asking about.
Where Is Brampton Smiles Located?
The office is at 50 Sunny Meadow Blvd, Unit 300, in the Sunny Meadow Marketplace plaza. We are minutes from Bovaird Drive East and Highway 410, with free on-site parking, a wheelchair-accessible ground-floor entrance, and Brampton Transit access along Bovaird. Patients drive in from Sunny Meadow, Mount Pleasant, Springdale, Mayfield West, Heart Lake, Bramalea, Castlemore, Sandalwood, and Countryside.

Dr. Azher Abbas
Dr. Azher Abbas received his Bachelor of Science from McMaster University and then went on to complete his Masters of Business Administration at the same school. After earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University in Boston, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry in Arizona. Dr. Abbas is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, the Canadian Dental Association, the Ontario Dental Association, and the Ontario Dental Implant Network.
Dr. Mevna de Silva
Dr. de Silva is passionate about dentistry and strives to ensure the best results for all of her patients. She is a general dentist, treating patients of all ages and makes every effort to improve her knowledge and skills through life long learning. She is a firm believer that oral health improvement is a responsibility of both the patient and the dental team and aims to educate patients on their oral health journey, especially on disease prevention.

Dr. Iezzi graduated with honours from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Committed to excellence, she provides exceptional dental care through skill, precision, and a strong attention to detail.
Dr. Anita Koipuram
Dr. Anita is a caring and dedicated dental professional who completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University. She also holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Master's in Global Health from McMaster University.
Nancy Fernandes
With over twenty years of experience in the dental field, Nancy Fernandes brings both clinical expertise and leadership to her role as Office Manager. She began her career in 2003 as a Dental Assistant, where she developed a deep understanding of patient care and clinical operations. In 2010, she transitioned into Office Manager, where she now oversees day-to-day operations, staff coordination, and patient experience. Known for her professionalism, attention to detail, and compassionate approach, Nancy ensures that every aspect of the office runs smoothly and efficiently.
Sarah Hannahson
Sarah is our dental administrator and has been a member of the Brampton Smiles team from 2019. She handles appointment scheduling, coordinates with insurance providers, and ensures the day-to-day admin duties run smoothly. Sarah takes pride in providing attentive, respectful service and creating a calm, professional environment where patients feel comfortable and well cared for. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and her dog, Apollo.
Anita Peters
Anita is a certified dental assistant at Brampton Smiles Dental Centre. She has been a dental assistant for 30 years and assisted the dentist with various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Anita is passionate about creating a positive and stress-free experience for all her patients. She is proud to be a part of the team at Brampton Smiles Dental Centre.
Manam Imtiaz
Manam is a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant who joined BSDC in 2024 after graduating from Medix College. With a strong commitment to exceptional patient care, she plays an integral role in every aspect of the clinic; from chairside assistance to laboratory work, ensuring each visit is smooth, efficient, and comfortable.
Mahua Bhattacharya
Mahua has more than a decade of clinical experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist and is dedicated to helping clients achieve optimal oral health and confident, radiant smiles. Throughout her career she has refined a gentle, client-orientated approach educating individuals and families on preventive care, periodontal therapy, and evidence-based hygiene practices. She invests in continuing education to stay up to date with advances in dental materials, technologies, and infection-control standards.

Priyanka is a Registered Dental Hygienist with a passion for preventive care and patient education. With a gentle touch and a commitment to oral health, she helps patients maintain healthy smiles through thorough cleanings, screenings, and personalized hygiene guidance. Known for her compassionate approach, Priyanka strives to make every visit comfortable and informative for the patients.

Michelle is a registered dental hygienist dedicated to helping you achieve a healthy and confident smile. She earned a dental hygiene diploma from TCDHA in October 2020, and has been serving the community ever since. Michelle treats patients of all ages.
